A few nice funny people images I found:

Working at home. I missed yesterday's picture as I spent most of the day in the emergency room with my mother. She had a fall - nothing broken that they can find but she is in a lot of pain down her leg. So I will be working from home part-time for the next couple of weeks. This is my back porch - not a bad place to work but I did feel cut off without people around me. I was getting no emails and starting to wonder if there was anybody out there. The Friday before Thanksgiving week and many people left early and were planning to take the next week off.

For years this place has been a daily lighting display at this time of the day. For roughly a decade, I get to see this view almost everyday and not actually appreciating it -- and there were more spectacular displays than this one when I was far younger. Before, I always find it absurdly funny for city people to just come to my hometown and in the afternoon -- they would rush to the shore to watch the sunset and I would often think, is there no sunset in the city? When I studied in the city, and were moving from city to city since then, I finally realized why a lot of people would love my hometown's sunset. It is quiet, and the view can be obstructed only by a few birds passing by, and the bats starting to come out in preparation for darkness, or a lone fisherman like the one you see near the right side of the frame. And the music is only of the gentle breeze and the splash of the small waves as it hits the shore. I have been in the city for long -- and perhaps -- it is why I love this part of my hometown now. Seems like this place -- where I learned to swim when I was around 4 years old, often fly kites during windy months, watched the sky in the darkest of nights -- is also a great site to hangout for most of my friends from the city (well, at least most of them I guess). Unfortunately, not too many of them has come here yet. The first of group my friends(who grew up in a city) that I invited -- was 12 years ago, right after my college graduation -- none of them are in the country now, the next group would come only a year ago, and the last group was just weeks ago. And probably those three groups will always have memories of this spot -- a spot I considered so dull and so boring when I was much younger. Well, everything has become a little too relative to be simple now. This place has never been so spectacular to me as it is now. Where I live now is full of treachery, traitors, and ticking time bombs. Every time I'm back in this place, feels refreshing -- even a little somber, now that I seldom come here. And this place -- is now like an antique item to me -- it gets treasured, and gets better with age. By the way, in case you are asking, the landmass on the horizon is Negros Island.
