Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) This wasn't one of the creatures we expected to see on our morning to Cuckmere Haven, Sussex. Apparently, the bird colonised naturally in the UK in 1989 and first bred in Dorset in 1996. Great bird to watch hunting, as they stride along the river bank like a Minister for Funny Walks.
