Darum habe ich mir überlegt, eine Einladung der etwas anderen Art für die beiden zu gestalten.
Den Text zu den Bildern wird sich meine Mutter noch überlegen, aber es sieht schon sehr nach folgendem Szenario aus:
Sie: Schatzi, wos wolltest du mir sogn?
Er: Du, Hasi, loss uns heiraten!

My mom’s mother, my “Mamaw,” was a force to be reckoned with. She was strong, funny, and the most loving person I’ve known. I asked my mother, aunt, brothers, and cousins to write down memories they have of her. I scanned in photographs, printed them on an inkjet printer and then hand-colored them with oil pastels. I scratched the memories into the pastel.
Photocopies of the photos are inserted into glassine envelopes, which are bound using a wire-edge binding technique.
And like Mamaw, the book smells of mothballs.
